I want to recommend these three websites.

The first one is "The Da Vinci Code" Official Website.
You can know that this is the web page for the new movie, "The Da Vinci Code", but this webpage is a little mysterious and scary, but fun. The webpage of course introduce the movie, but there is more fun. In this page, there is a suggestion to find password and go to the secret page. You can find the password from the garrary, but it is a little difficult. I couldn't find it yet, so if I have more time, I will challange it again!

The second one is "prb.org". PRB means Population References Bureau.
In this webpage, you can research any kinds of population in the world, and conpare with two countries. I sometimes use here for Human Geography Class. This web page tell you today's situation that any people have, and you can know each people's life a little bit.

The third one is "Forests Forever". This web page showed many kinds of forests in all over the world. Therefore, of course, some Japanese famous forests are introduced, too. I was told from one of my best friends, and after I visited here, I felt more sereously about today's environment problem. Also, a lot of green in this website heal me, so I introduce this web site.

Majical Trasnpotation

Have you ever seen the animation, "Draemon"? This is one of Japanese famous comics, made by Fujiko F. Fujio. Draemon was born in the 22nd century, and he came to one boy's house in the contemporary world to help him. He was a robotic cat, but he lost his ears on his head because of mice. Therefore, he afraid mice very much even though he is a kind of cat.

Draemon has so many devices. They are in his 4-dimentional pokets.

In one of his devices, there is a majical door that people can go anywhere by opening it. The name of the door is Dokodemo Door, in English, Anywhere Door. This majical door can save so much time to take a long trip to the destination, so it is very usuful!!!

One day, I talked with one of my friends, S, that it would become more convenient if there is a Dokodemo Door. Then our theme switched to how to make Dokodemo Door. To think about today's computer technology, it might be easy to make such things because there is GPS, which can find the places where the person is and where is the destination. Therefore, we think that Dokodemo Door needs a HDD that includes GPS function, appropriate length for humans, and convenience. But, how can we make the convinience? Then we gave up this topic.

Nevertheless, I feel that computer technology is approaching to the people's imagination. There is very high technology to make robots or other things, and it influences to different world such as art or medical science. Developing the technology, people might be able to get more confortable life, great art techniques, and high quality in visual or listening materials. This is really great thing, isn't it? Then people wish more comfortable life because people cannot stop dreaming about the future.


However, one day, I've heard that it is difficult to make a robot like Astro Boy. It is because he has a feeling that can define the person is good or evil. Usually, the computers are moved in binary notation (On and Off). However, feeling which humans or other creatures have cannot control by this system. Therefore, Astro Boy is an impossible robot. Also, combination of his power and his apperance (including length and weight) is a little difficult for this world. Therefore, Astro boy cannot exist.

The technology is developing rapidly. On the other hands, people will keep having their dream. Therefore, their desire may not satisfy forever.

I think that the most dangerous thing about computer is invasion of the privacy. I know that today our privacy is protected by a law, but I still feel worrying about it.

The biggest reason is that computers have many entrance to come in. The main entrance is the network cable, which connects to the internet. For example, many virus can come in to the computers by sending e-mail. Of course, I know that there are many softwares to protect from the virus, but still many people get it easily. Moreover, today people can reserve something such as airplane's seat or some books on the internet. It is very very convenient. I love this system because I can do anything without going to the station or the company. On the other hand, I sometimes feel scary because someone must control our privacy and he or she must be able to know our information. Also, today, many people enjoy the social networking site(SNS), such as "Mixi". Most people around myself say that it is safe because we can know who entered my page. However, I don't like that system because our movement on the SNS is watched. I feel really shocked! I want freedom on the internet!!!!!

When I think about the danger of computer, I thought that people must watch each other carefully to avoid any criminal or bad things. A few years ago, many people in Japan "care" about their neighbours, and they had a good relationship; for example, children were brought up by many adults in one area. Any parents admonished when they did bad manner, and any parents praised when they did good things. However, today, people look that they feel scary to the neighbours. Therefore, they have to watch out the other people carefully to protect their own family.

It must be connected to the computer technology. To become convenient, we have to be careful from the invasion, so we naturally try to overlook the other people's movement. I feel sad about it because it might mean to suspect the other person instead of myself. I don't want to live such a difficult world, so I hope that the world become peaceful than now by stopping any dangerous thought and trusting the other people.

Tiny Microphones!

Acording to Michael Kanellos, staff writer of CNET News.com, an audio chipmaker, Akustica made a new microphone which is a chip! The name of that microphone is Aku2000, and it can be used by Skype phone system on the laptop computer. The article said that some Asian companies started to take that chip in the computer. The microphone chip can control the sound; therefore, users can talk with clear voice and less noise. One specialist said that it is difficult to get the chip in reasonable price, but the company will sell the chip for $3.76 in quontities of 1000. Jim Rock, the CEO of Akustica, said that users will become more than 1000, he guesses that 50,000 to 100,000 people will use this chip.

When I saw this article, I was not so surprised, but I felt that it is the 21st century! (^^;)

But, I think that it must be a great progress in this world. I occasionally talk with some of my friends in MSN Messenger's View Chat (Chat system like a television telephone), but when I do that, I have to put the earphones with a microphone. It is like an operator of mail-order houses.
If the microphone is in the computer, it is easy to chat with friends online.

However.....Mr. Poza, your laptop computer has microphone inside the PC, doesn't it?
Oh....Does it means that my technolopy in my brain is a little old?

Future Computer......

Today, computer technology is growing rapidly. For example, people can bring so much music outside by a small hard disk such as iPod, or if a child has a small machine which includes GPS, his or her parents can know where is their children now. Also, AU has a service to provide a maps on some cellphones, and they works like a car navigation system. Even though people have so much technology, what will happen in the future in computers?

Well, I think that humans will be lived by computers. Today, a few people who have hard problems in their heart have a pacemaker. However, pacemakers have a problem that they are easy to get some influences from other electronic machines such as cell phones. Probably, scholars may improve that situation to avoid electronic influence to pacemakers, and cellphone users may increase more and more. Also, some scholars may make a computer that helps the digestive apparatus. Today, many people (including myself!) are worried about fatness, and I have heard that one states in the US made a low that an overweight children must lose their weight. Also, many children might have denger to be a life-style related disease. If there is a computer that can control digest function, people might avoid to be too fat! Finally, people have their own IC tips in the brain, and there are connected to nerves, so the brain can write(?) the information in the tips easily, and if the person got a hurt that influence to the body or the life, the doctors can treat the body and that person can be alive and live as same as before he or she got a dangerous damage by moving his or her tips from the brain. Of course, the tip must be easy to move from the brain.

Nevertheless, I feel scared about this situation, and I think that people might not think about death deeply. Today, euthanasia is discussed very much all around the world, but if people can coutrol their life by computer, thatcontroversy wil disappear, but people can kill themselves leagally. People's life must be longer than now, and also, if there is a murder, the victim can help to find who try to kill him or her. However, it must be strange. Living longer might be good for many people, but I feel so sorry to the ancient people because some people died for their country, king, or their boss in the war, and they fought together to wish the country's development. Therefore, humans should not disagree the natural system, and they should have a good balance with the nature. If some scientists will make a good computer to both humans and natures, the earth can live longer more and more, and people's life might be assured that they can live a safety life.

What Will I Give to Somebody...?

If I found a lot of money on the street, and I realized that I'm going to give something to somebody, what will I give, and to who?

Well, if I'm in that case, probably I will give new Macintosh to each of my parents and a pen tablet to my father. It is because I hope my mom to be able to use computer (at least I hope she can send e-mail and write her paper, which is one of her job), and my dad always make some letters (such as a New Year's card) by computer, scanning his handwriting picture. He says that it is difficult for him to draw a picture by mouse, so if he has a pen tablet, he can save himself drawing his picture and scanning it in the computer by using pen tablet. Also, my family's computer is very old, so I want to change it to new one, or if each of my family member has their own computer, it must be useful because we can avoid argument that who is going to use PC first. So, if I will present something to somebody, I will give new Macintosh and a pen tablet.

By the way, pen tablet is one of computer equipment. I'm not sure that the word "Pen tablet" is only Japanese or both English and Japanese.

Computers and Privacy....

Hello! Today, I will try to talk about the connnection between a computer and our privacy.

Every person has the right to keep their secrets. Probably, most countires permit to do so. Therefore, people can have their own rights, and they can live their lives safely. On the other hand, I think it is easy to invade their rights easily, especially about their computer.

Why do I think that? It is because most people don't have their own computer. In my image, a person who has his or her own computer shows three patterns: The family (or themselves) is rich; His or Her family members(Mother, father, siblings, aunts, uncles...etc.) are working about computers (e.g. a computer programer); or The parents are too kind to their children. Usually, especially in Japan, most people has a computer per one family because computers are very expensive in Japan. Therefore, a family uses the same mail box and server. Therefore, even though a boy got an e-mail from his girlfried, his family might see that email accidentaly, and if he did not tell that he had a girlfriend, their family could get confuse like "Who is it?! Is it a virus???". Also, he might be hurt because he might not want to tell about his girlfriend.

I had such experiences. When I was a junior high school student, exchaging e-mails with my friends are popular among my school, so I usually sent e-mails to my friends. However, when my father used the computer, he said, "Taemi, who is this name?" I was really shocked that I was invaded by my father. Therefore, I made my own e-mail address in Yahoo! Japan, and I used that. However, I also found that the Internet Explorer remains when I used and where I went on the Internet. This fact hurt my mind, so I wanted to use my own computer. It might be strange why a teenage girl wanted to protect herself, but it is true.

One easy idea is to make computers cheaper, but it might be difficult because it takes so long time that computers become more populer among the world, or computers are very delicate.
Nevertheless, today a computer can have many accounts, and people can change the accounts in each user. It is a very usuful way, but I guess that people may have their own computers in the future because computers are becoming necessary not only for jobs, but also education and communication.

Favorites about Computers

Today's topic is my favorite things about the computer.

My best thing about the computer is conversation.
I usually use my computer not only for my assignment, but also for my communication tools to my friends, especially my high school and junior high school friends. The way of use is not only sending some e-mails. I usually chat with some of my friends on the Internet by using MSN messenger. I also have my Yahoo! Messenger, but I will erase it because most of my friends use Hotmail or MSN.

Also, I like listening music and watching DVD on the computers. Recent computers are intelligent because they can take some music and make a copy on the other things such as CDs. Therefore, I use that function often. For example, I sometimes borrow some CDs at TSUTAYA, and I put those information in my computer, then I copy them to my MP3 player or a new CD.
So, I have many music files in my computer....Especially in Window Media Player.
I sometimes watch DVD on my computer. Recently, I do not have enough time to watch my favorite DVDs, so these medias are looking for me to watch them...Probably...

My history with computers

Probably, this is my first time to post my comment on my blog (Yeah!).

The topic of the first blog is "My history with computers".

My first time to meet computers (personal computers) was probably when I was 4 or 5 years old. One of my friends' (a girl) father is (or used to be) a programmer, so there are 2 or 3 computers in her house. When I visited her house, she (or her mother) told me about her father's job, and we play together by using one of their computers. Probably, we used "Kid Pics,"which is a Machintosh software to draw a picture.

Ten years later, a big event was happened. My parents bought a computer for my family!
At that time, people around my family told us that Machintosh was easier than the other computers(Windows?), and my father used Mac at his office, so they bought Power Mac G3.
It was the newest at that time, and we used Mac OS 8.5. Also, we can use the Internet by the computer, so I fascinated by it! I thought the computer and the Internet are the most clever things in this world. (A few years later, OS became 8.6, and my parents still use that......)

However, I sometimes felt scary while I use our Mac. The reason is that the computer suddenly stopped its working, and I could not do anything to solve that. I told that accident to my father, but I felt fear because he might tell me that I must not use the computer in my life.

After I got used to freezing and using computer, I started thinking about my privacy, especially about my e-mail address. At that time, my family had only one e-mail address, which is OUR address. Therefore, when my father check the e-mail box, he must look at my private(?) e-mail from my friends. I really want to keep my privacy from my parents, I got my first free e-mail address from Yahoo! Japan. I used that address for 4-5years.

Also, I began to use Windows in my junior high school. I had a computer's class, and I studied some things about computers, and I made a slide by power point. Furthermore, I was fascinated in chatting (Messenger) with my friends, so I sometimes talk with my friends in the real world and on the web.

When I was a 3rd-year student in my high school, I have to buy Windows or change the Mac's OS because I had to write a kind of research paper for my indipendent study by Microsoft Word. However, my Mac's Word did not follow the assigment (especially about mergins). So, my parents presented me VAIO, and I started to make friends with Windows.

Now, I became a kind of "Half"--a Mac and Window's use--. I got used to using Windows, and I enjoy chatting with my friends on MSN Messenger (I graduated from Yahoo! Japan). Also, it is newer than my family's computer, so I do not have any big problems like freezing. However, I still like Machintosh. Mac is the first computer in my life, and I also think that Mac has a great skills about display or sounds. Today, a huge amount of people use Windows, and some people use Mac mainly. However, Machintosh looks trying to be popular again by iPods. I hope that someday more people than Window's users start to use Mac. Also, I want to use Mac(New one!!)
